The North

North

Fiji's northern region includes the group's second and third largest islands, Vanua Levu and Taveuni as well as the smaller islands of Laucala, Qamea, Matangi, Namenalala and Nukubati. Most of these are small and intimate; offering a style of vacation and experience difficult to find anywhere else in the world.

The outer islands in this section are Kadavu, some 50 miles south of Suva, Ovalau with the former capital, Levuka, and the outer islands including the famous Yasawa and Vatulele Islands. There is a wide range of accommodation to suit all tastes. Levuka has retained much of its late Victorian charm as well as worth a detour. Kadavu has a number of resorts specializing in scuba diving on its world renowned Astrolabe Reef.
