Fiji has been selected as the destination for the
new, boutique five star Taunovo Bay Resort & Spa opening January
2008, this resort will set a new benchmark for luxury and privacy in
the South Pacific.
The Grand Opening in April 2008 will celebrate the opening of the
central resort. The central resort will be situated on over 200
feeet (70m) of beachfront and will include a gourmet restaurant,
wine bar, wine cellar, sushi restaurant, cocktail lounge, beach bar,
75 feet (25m) infinitiy edge pool, full service spa, gym, tennis
courts, activities bure, concierge, boutique, and reception. The
Grand Opening will also celebrate the opening of "Kid's Village" - a
place that kids of all ages can enjoy.
Privacy, rejuvenation, relaxation and entertainment are primary
considerations in every one of the 10 beachfront Grand Villas that
make up the resort. Individual Grand Villas are massive, each Grand
Villa is 4,700 sq ft (450 sq m) of internal living space and 2,500
sq ft (230 sq m) of outdoor living areas. Each Grand Villa is
absolute beachfront, set on a magnificent stretch of white sand
beach.
Each beachfront Grand Villa has 4 bedrooms and is appointed with
2 private swimming pools, jet spa Jacuzzi, indoor & outdoor showers,
an enticing daybed pavilion and a state of the art entertainment
system including Bose surround sound.
Each 4 Bedroom Grand Villa has been designed to privately
accommodate up to two different parties or accommodate one party
only to occupy the entire 4 Bedrooms. The possible room type
configurations available include: 1 BR Suite, 2 BR Suite, 1 BR
Villa, 2 BR Villa, 3 BR Villa, 4 BR Grand Villa.

Concierge Service
Prior to your arrival, simply contact Taunovo Bay's concierge
who will assist you with any of your needs-from arranging your
airport and in-town transportation, to organizing diving or
fishing excursions, or even scheduling explorations of
outer-islands (including Nanuku Island, Taunovo Bay's own
private island). The concierge can also book golf tee times,
reserve a tennis court, arrange your dinner reservations, and
more.
Bell Service
Upon arrival to Taunovo Bay, a bellman will take your luggage
to your villa and retrieve it when you depart.
Equipment & Personal Belongings Storage
There's no need to carry dive gear, fishing equipment,
surfboards, golf clubs, family photos, precious artwork, and
other personal belongings through airports when you depart.
Simply leave your sports equipment and vacation items at Taunovo
Bay. They will be securely stored and carefully placed in your
villa just prior to your next arrival.

The Adventure Capital of Fiji
Taunovo Bay is a mecca for the outdoor enthusiast. With
superb golfing less than a mile away at a Robert Trent Jones Jr.
designed golf course, world-class SCUBA diving and game fishing
in Beqa Lagoon, and world-renowned surfing and windsurfing at
Frigate's Passage, adventure in paradise abounds.
Taunovo Bay is located on Fiji's Coral Coast, in a region
aptly referred to as "The Adventure Capital Of Fiji."
Golf
A challenging Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed 18-hole golf
course is less than one mile away-easily reached with your own
golf cart.
Scuba Diving
Divers will discover an underwater paradise at Beqa Lagoon.
Adjacent to Taunovo Bay, Beqa Lagoon is regarded as one of the
greatest displays of soft corals and sea fans in the world. In
fact, Fiji is called the "Soft Coral Capital of the World."
Snorkelling
Beautiful soft corals and colourful fish can be seen right
off of the beaches of Taunovo Bay. Snorkelling in Fiji is
outstanding. Crystal clear waters afford 80+ feet of visibility.
There is excellent snorkelling directly off the beach of Taunovo
Bay.

Game Fishing
The Ca'Bella International Game Fishing Tournament, the South
Pacific's top tournament, is held each year in the fishing grounds
directly offshore from Taunovo Bay. These bountiful waters hold
trophy wahoo, mahi mahi, tuna, and billfish.
Surfing
Frigate's Passage, a world-renowned surf-break which is very
similar to Cloudbreak at the Tavarua Resort, is a short boat ride
away.
Windsurfing
The 1994 World Championships were held in the Taunovo Bay region.
Sailing
Set out in the morning for a calm, relaxing sail or in the
afternoon for a stronger breeze.
Kayaking
Enjoy a leisurely kayak ride along the beach or through the canal
system that meanders around the golf course.
River Rafting
River rafting and kayaking are offered on the Navua and Luva
rivers-known as "The Grand Canyon of Fiji." Tours are challenging
and the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful.
Trekking
Hiking trails to waterfalls and natural fresh water pools are
scattered throughout the Taunovo Bay and Suva regions.
Shopping & Cultural Events
A few minutes down the road from Taunovo Bay is the Pacific
Harbour Cultural Centre and Marketplace. The shopping center has
restaurants, clothing stores, souvenir shops, jewellery stores, a
grocery store, fishing tackle shop, and more.
The adjoining Fijian Cultural Centre has a museum, International
school, and small Fijian villages offering guided tours. Visitors
witness traditional fire walking, Fijian dancing and singing, and
experience Kava, the national drink, among other exciting
activities.
Suva, the capital city, offers excellent shopping. Just 35
minutes from Taunovo Bay, you will find anything and everything you
desire. |
