CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La
CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La is designed to create a sanctuary of
tranquillity inspired by the legend of "Shangri-La". CHI features some
of the largest and most luxurious private spa suites and villas. It
offers a range of specialised body, water, massage and facial therapies
based on the ancient healing traditions, philosophies and rituals of
China and the Himalayas. |
Timeless Healing Traditions For Your Personal Well-Being
CHI, the Spa at Shangri-La, embraces a holistic approach to physical
and spiritual vitality. Inspired by traditional healing philosophies
from China and the Himalayas, our treatments are based upon the
principles of restoring balance and harmony to mind and body.

Inside CHI, the Spa at the Shangri-La, you'll enjoy an expansive
private spa suite that includes a changing area, spa shower, bath and
steam, and a lounge--a 'spa within a spa' exclusively for your
relaxation and enjoyment. The oils and fragrances used in our therapies
are customised to your personal element sign, which is expressed by your
preferences in tastes, colors, and daily living.
Ch'i: A Classic Approach to Health and Vitality
In Chinese philosophy, ch'i is the universal life force that
governs well-being and personal vitality. Our treatments express the

We
believe that leisure travel must be ecologically sustainable
and sensitive to our shared natural and human environment.
The Resort shares in a number of different environmental
programmes, and is a major stakeholder in the Fiji Locally
Managed Marine Area Network. The Resort’s Yanuca Marine
Protected Area is the first large-scale co-operative project
between a resort, a non-governmental organisation and the
local reef-owning communities. The project was chosen as an
International Coral Reef Action Network “model site for
coral reef conservation” by the United Nations Environmental
Programme.
We
invite our guests to explore Fiji's fascinating island
environment by participating in our guided tours and
environmental activities. Contact us for more details.
6am daily
Greet the freshness and quiet of each morning on this guided
morning walk around the island. Enjoy a true island
experience as you walk about, and get a feel of our natural
island setting.
11am daily
Nature lovers enjoy this engaging guided tour of the natural
botanical gardens of the Resort. Learn about native plants
and its historical uses to generations of Fijians over time.
Tuesdays & Thursdays between 2pm - 4pm
The Resort has an on-going reef protection environment
program that allows guests to interact directly with the
natural environment by partaking in fish house building
every week. Fish houses help preserve and grow our fragile
coral reef ecosystem. Come and help us preserve the natural
marine environment of Yanuca Island.
A
surcharge applies to this activity.

Coast with natural golden sand beaches. Pristine waters and
a deepwater lagoon that is unaffected by changes in tides
mean that our guests can enjoy the beach and water
activities without being disturbed by strong waves or
shallow water at low tide, as can often be the case in Fiji.
The Resort offers four refreshing swimming pools. The Lagoon
Pool is open from 7am to 9pm daily . The Coral Pool is our
infinity pool. You may enjoy refreshments and drinks at the
poolside Café Coral. The Takali Pool is our adults-only
