	The new Ratu Makutu Events Centre has been completed, and the new CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La opened in October and it is the largest and most luxurious private spa in Fiji. Inspired by traditional Fijian beach bungalows, our six Premier Ocean Bures offer uniquely enchanting, exceptionally spacious accommodations, with rich woods and fabrics that evoke the warm, gracious spirit of the South Pacific. Situated between the exclusive Chi Village and Wedding Chapel, and set right on the waters edge, sweeping views of the lagoon, reef and Pacific Ocean are offered.

Premier Ocean Bures will be available for booking early 2008.

	Premier Bures are for couples only, and comprise one bedroom and separate living and dining areas.

	Guests enjoy 24-hour butler service and a dedicated golf buggy for their sole use for duration of stay.

From casual family fare to impeccable seafood and elegant international cuisine, you'll enjoy the range of tempting dining options at Shangri-La's Fijian Resort & Spa. In-room dining is available around the clock.

Please be aware that there is currently a revised dining outlet operation to accommodate restaurant renovations including the closure of the Lagoon Terrace Restaurant. Alternative dining facilities are available during this period.

Lounges & Bars

Whether on the beach or by the pool, a refreshing cocktail, cooling drink or light snack is never far away. At night, enjoy the invigorating beats from our resident band or DJ at the Black Marin Bar.

A great place to refresh during a day at the beach, the Beach Bar & Grill overlooks our Lagoon and pool area and serves burgers, sandwiches and other casual fare for lunch and dinner.

A casual dining venue with an international theme and enchanting views, Lagoon Terrace serves up a classic American breakfast spread each morning, and a themed nightly buffet in the evening. A la carte dining is also available.

Savor the panoramic views of the ocean at Takali Restaurant & Bar, which specialises in Asian and Seafood delicacies and is also a popular breakfast venue. The adjacent bar is an engaging spot to enjoy light snacks and cocktails in the early evening.

This cheery beachfront bar, which serves icy cold beers and your choice of cocktails, is a favourite spot for viewing the sunset.

A popular nighttime hotspot with a resident DJ and lively music, the Black Marlin Bar is also a lively sports bar by day. A la carte evening dining is available from the adjacent Golden Cowrie Restaurant.

Located within the Lagoon Terrace, the Coffee Bar serves an assortment of coffees and hot beverages, complemented by a delicious array of pastries. The Coffee Bar also serves a Healthy Alternatives lunch menu daily.

The natural beauty of Yanuca Island, our tranquil South Pacific beaches and inviting deepwater lagoon create an ideal setting for an enchanting Fijian vacation. For kids, the supervised Little Chief's Club, children's pool and play areas are sure to be a hit.

The Fijian Resort & Spa also welcomed CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La in October 2007, featuring the largest and most luxuriously appointed spa suites in Fiji.

Seaside Wedding Chapel

Set amidst a plantation of palm trees at the water's edge, the non-denominational Seaside Chapel is located in an intimate and secluded setting. The chapel seats up to 40 guests. On a raised platform, tall vases cascading with fragrant tropical blooms, stand each side of the altar which faces a glass wall and ceiling, providing the bride and groom and their guests with sweeping views of the reef and the Pacific Ocean.

We suggest an afternoon wedding where the hues of blue, green and white are at their spectacular best just prior to sunset. Our dedicated Event Management Team guarantees a worry-free reception down to the last detail, ensuring a perfect reception.

Exploring Nature

We believe that leisure travel must be ecologically sustainable and sensitive to our shared natural and human environment.

The Resort shares in a number of different environmental programmes, and is a major stakeholder in the Fiji Locally Managed Marine Area Network. The Resort’s Yanuca Marine Protected Area is the first large-scale co-operative project between a resort, a non-governmental organisation and the local reef-owning communities. The project was chosen as an International Coral Reef Action Network “model site for coral reef conservation” by the United Nations Environmental Programme.

Nature lovers enjoy this engaging guided tour of the natural botanical gardens of the Resort. Learn about native plants and its historical uses to generations of Fijians over time.

Fish House Building

Tuesdays & Thursdays between 2pm - 4pm
The Resort has an on-going reef protection environment program that allows guests to interact directly with the natural environment by partaking in fish house building every week. Fish houses help preserve and grow our fragile coral reef ecosystem. Come and help us preserve the natural marine environment of Yanuca Island.

Little Chief's Club

At the Little Chief's Club, activity coordinators entertain children with a variety of fun activities while parents relax. Many of the activities also take place at the children's pool, on the beach or at our lively children's playground.

Children's Pool

The children's pool, open from 7am - 9pm, is located in the main pool area.

Children's Stay and Eat Free Programme

An outstanding value, the Children's Stay and Eat Free Programmes help families enjoy a fun and affordable holiday.

For the Kids Eat Free Dining Programme, up to two children under the age of 12 eat free when dining with a parent. Breakfast is a buffet from either the Takali or Lagoon Restaurants, and lunch is from the Lagoon restaurant Kids selection. Dinner is available at the Lagoon Restaurant, or between 6.30-7.30pm at the Takali Restaurant, Beach Bar & Grill and Black Marlin Bistro. The Kids Eat Free programme does not extend to the Kalevu Restaurant.

The Kids Stay Free programme entitles up to two children less than 17 years of age to stay in a room free of charge, using the existing bedding.

Beach and Lagoon

Shangri-La's Fijian Resort & Spa is the only resort on Viti Levu's Coral Coast with natural golden sand beaches. Pristine waters and a deepwater lagoon that is unaffected by changes in tides mean that our guests can enjoy the beach and water activities without being disturbed by strong waves or shallow water at low tide, as can often be the case in Fiji.

Pools

The Resort offers four refreshing swimming pools. The Lagoon Pool is open from 7am to 9pm daily . The Coral Pool is our infinity pool. You may enjoy refreshments and drinks at the poolside Café Coral. The Takali Pool is our adults-only pool.

The children's pool is open from 7am to 9pm.

Our comprehensive Sea Sports Centre offers a variety of scheduled sports, training, and equipment rentals for water enthusiasts, including PADI certification scuba courses. Contact us for more details.

Health Club

The new Golf & Gym Bure, which opened in March 2007 includes 14 new LifeFitness aerobic stations and free weights. The air-conditioned fitness centre is perched on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, affording sensational views. The previous gym is now being renovated to become a dance and fitness studio.

The Health Club is open every day from 6am -7pm.
