PLANTATION ISLAND RESORT WEDDING PACKAGES:

Plantation Island Resort Weddings
Your wedding is a once in a lifetime occasion. Plantation Island Resort handles about 30 Weddings a year.
We offer a variety of locations and arrangements can be made to suit any budget. The following information is a guide only. Please feel free to request your special needs.

General Information
Requirements for a Wedding License in the Fiji Islands:
• Passport
• If previously married and divorced, decri nisi.
• If your name has been changed, deed poll documents.
• The couple must present themselves together at Lautoka Crown Law Office to sign the application – and the wedding must take place within 28 days of signing the application
• Marriage License Fee – FJD$16.00
Transportation from Nadi to Lautoka by Taxi is approximately ($40) return.
The above conditions are required by Fiji Law - It is the responsibility of the couple to know the requirements of their particular church/religion. For example special requirements by the Roman Catholic Church are:
• Letter from your parish priest.
• Pre-marriage instructions.
• Baptism Certificates.
• A Freedom to Marry Form.
• At least one meeting with the Priest in Lautoka well before the Ceremony.

Who Performs The Ceremony
The Marriage Ceremony can be performed by either a Priest, Celebrant or any Minister NB – If the Wedding is to be held late afternoon after the last connection flight from Plantation Island Resort to Nadi Airport, then accommodation, dinner and breakfast for the person performing the Ceremony is an additional charge.

Venue
• The Village church on top of the hill overlooking the Lagoon and Resort.
• On the beach – accompanied by the blowing of Conch Shells and beating of the Lali Drum with Fijian Warriors carrying the Bride on a Traditional Ceremonial Chair.
• On the water – our floating pontoon is adorned with Coconut leaves and Bridal Arch. The bride is carried out by raft escorted by paddling Fijian Warriors.
• On the Sandbar – With the tide permitting, a small white sandbar appears for 4 hours. The bridal party arrive by boat. You are surrounded by crystal clear waters.

NB : ROMAN CATHOLIC WEDDINGS MUST BE HELD IN THE CHURCH

Flowers
Long Bridal Bouquet and Buttonhole for the Groom.

Music
• The Plantation String Band will perform only during the Ceremony.
• Fijian Solevu Village Children ’s Choir to sing during the Ceremony.

Cake
Single tier fruit cake.

Dinner
A private Champagne Beachfront Dinner for two

Photographer
Studio Photographer from Nadi – 4 hours photography one 36 roll of film unprocessed.
NB – If the Wedding is to be held late afternoon after the last connection flight from Plantation to Nadi Airport, then accommodation, dinner and breakfast for the him is an additional charge.

Witnesses
If required, witnesses can be arranged to attend the Ceremony.

TOTAL COST FJD$1200.00 + 12.5% VAT

• Studio Photographer for 4 hours include. Transportation, 1 x 36 roll of film unprocessed
• Music or Choir during Ceremony
• Single tier Wedding Cake
• Private Champagne Dinner for two
• Bridal bouquet(long) & Groom buttonhole
• Wedding Coordinator Fee

Traditional Fijian Wedding Costumes
These are made of Tapa Cloth (bark from a special tree pounded to fine cloth and hand decorated with traditional tapa patterns). The magnificent Salu Salu (Lei) made for the couples also contains Tapa Cloth as well as brightly coloured tropical leaves and flowers.
Traditional Wedding Outfits can be hired at a cost of FJD$80 + 12.5% VAT per person. Purchase can be arranged at 1 month ’s notice – cost of FJD$200 + 12.5% VAT per person.

Video
An unedited video from start to finish at a cost of FJD$450 + 12.5% VAT includes transportation for the cameraman and his assistant. NB - If the Wedding is to be held late afternoon after the last connection flight from Plantation Island Resort to Nadi Airport, then accommodation, dinner and breakfast for the crew of two is an additional charge.
