The Resort
Fringed by coconut palms, white sandy beach and azure waters with
spacious grounds and designed for minimal environmental impact. You
can do as little or as much as you like.
Situated on 10 acres of land and is located on the northern tip of
Nanuya Lai Lai Island, adjacent to Turtle Island, on the
Blue Lagoon midway in the Yasawa Group. We class ourselves
as a 3 to 4 Star Resort, with a total of 12 Units to cater for your
accommodation needs. The Resort is generated with 24 hour
electricity ( 240 volts / 50 hertz ) |

making new friends or just relaxing, this is the perfect place for
an afternoon or evening cocktail. Sing along with the band boys and
join in for a bowl of Kava.

Our Chefs from the Taba (Tamba)
Restaurant cater to all discerning tastes. We offer a delicious
a-la-carte All Day and Evening Dinning Menus . Apart from a-la-carte
we do have the occasional Themed Dinners and Entertainment. We pride
ourselves on using as much of the local produce as possible
venturing from European to Traditional Fijian, Indian and Asian
Cuisine. Special dietary requirements may also be catered for. Food
service begins at 8am and last orders are by 9pm. Special dietary

Option
1 – Awesome Adventures Yasawa Flyer.
Travel by scenic Catamaran boat ride through the beautiful . Your
half day boat cruise has you Resort hopping and mingling with fellow
travelers in search of the same experience.
Yasawa Flyer Boat Transfers
Departure ex Port Denarau Marina – 8.30am
Resort – 1.15pm.
Departure From Nanuya Island Resort
Departure Ex Nanuya – 1.35pm
Arrival at Port Denarau Marina – 5.45pm
There is one boat departure per day with pick / drop off en route.

Captains Lounge
Standard Transfer
Please note that the Awesome Adventures Ferry arrives at Nanuya
Island Resort ( 1.15pm ) and moors in the bay. Here our
complimentary tender boat will transfer you from the Ferry to the
Beach.
It will mean climbing from the Ferry platform onto the tender
boat……..all care is taken and help given to hand you over to the
tender boat crew.
Please keep in mind, the tender boat will be landing on a beach….not
a jetty ……so please be ready to get the toes wet and start your
holiday – no shoes, just sand under the feet feel.
Should you wish to visit other islands in the Yasawa Group – the
Yasawa Flyer would be the boat you catch to get around to these
islands.
For bookings you can contact us and we can help you book your
transfers.
Yasawa Flyer have a courtesy bus shuttle that picks and
drops passengers from Airport Hotels to Denarau Marina
Option 2. – Turtle Airways OR Seaplane transfer.
The Seaplane Transfer.
Bookings for the seaplane is done direct with the company. Please
note that luggage allowance is 15kg per person and flights are only
done during daylight hours.
Please note that they do not have a set time for flights. You will
need to contact the company to book time and flight. Please keep in
mind that the seaplane company do change their times of flights even
on day of flight. |

Island Living
Deluxe Villa’s are
located amongst the swaying palms and just a short walk to the
beach. Tree top traditional bures are nestled along the hillside
overlooking the bay. |

Deluxe Villas
Our 4
Deluxe Villas ( a spacious 180sq. ft ), are located amongst the
swaying coconut palms, a short walk to the beach and close to the
main complex. Each Villa has its own en-suite (cold & hot solar
running water) with coffee & tea making facilities, mini fridge and
mini safe. towels and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and bathing
soap provided. All bures are fan cooled with mosquito nets and
electric plug mosquito deterrent are available in room if required.
The Villa can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests only, – Queen size
double and 2 single beds.
Deluxe Villa's are a
couple of steps from the beach. Drift off to sleep with the gentle
lapping of the waves, and wake refreshed with each new day. |

Snorkelling
Snorkelling and guided snorkelling trips – a number of spots off
the beach which have a number of marine life living. From Clown Fish
( Nemos ) to puffer fishes, you will find a number of marine life
growing and coming back to life. See the Dive Shop for Mask and
Snorkel – $5 for the set for your whole stay. Fins can also be hired
– FJ$5 per person for the pair for your whole stay. For Snorkel Trip
enquire at the Dive Shop or Reception.
SCUBA Diving
SCUBA Diving and Dive Courses – come enjoy
the underwater world with our Sister Company West Side Water Sports.
If you have never dived before, you can try the Discover Scuba –
this is a preview into the Under Water Diving World. Or for you
certified divers, swim throughs, hard and soft corals with up to
nearly 16 dive sites to chose from. Please see Dive Shop for
questions or booking.
Fish Feeding
Fish feeding – come see the kitchen for some fish food ( leftover
bread ) and go off on your kayak or snorkel trip or just off the
beach…….you are bound to find some fishy friends. Also ask at the
dive shop when they will be feeding the fish normally happens every
2 days.
Kayaking
Kayaking – single kayaks available for FJ$5 per kayak for your
whole stay. You can kayak around the island during high tide…..for
the strong and fit it is approximately a 1 hour kayak ( taking into
account some scenery stops ) and for the never tried it before it
will take you a little longer…….. Please see Dive Shop for Oars.
Fishing
Fishing – you can do Fly Fishing with Henry Murray Fly Fishing
crew or try the local fishing method – hand line fishing. All
fishing is done out towards deep water, no off the beach fishing (
reefs and shallow waters are part of the marine sanctuary –
protecting the future corals and marine life ). Please see reception

Famous
Sawa-I-Lau Caves
Visit the Sawa-I-Lau caves – a part where the Blue Lagoon Movie
with Brook Shields was filmed. Tender boat ride for approx 45min
further north of the Yasawa group and to enjoy the Caves. Please
note Cave trip is Monday to Saturday – pick up will be around 8.45am
….and you will return to the resort by approx 11.45am…………bring your
towel, hat and sunblock. For booking please see reception.
Village Visit
Guided village visits. – Visit the local village across the Bay,
. See the way the locals live and the local church and school. When
you visit the village you get to meet the chief with the traditional
Kava ceremony. Jioji our Head Bar is your guide and always happy to
book you in for the Village visit. Village visit is everyday weather
permitting except for Sunday. No Sunday village visit as it is
church day……… If you wish to go to the church service just ask when
you arrive at the resort.

Massage – book your relaxing ½ hour or 1 hour massage or 15minute
foot massage at Reception.…..………

Dive Dive

Nanuya Island Resort and our sister company West Side Water sports
have created dive packages that will accommodate most divers and
their budgets.
The packages include Accommodation at Nanuya Island Resort, dives,
all dive equipment and continental breakfast. |
Bonzai
reef , about 6 miles east from our dive shop, an isolated reef
that has a spectacular wall with hard corals, sort corals and fan
corals. Depth ranges from 6 meters to 40 meters. Reef sharks are a
common occurrence. As well there is a resident Maori wrasse,
numerous coral cod, groupers and Spanish mackerel. Visibility
expected between 15 and 30 meters and encourage good diving
practices to prevent damage to the environment |
Neptunes
Thumb
Neptune's Thumb, a pinnacle located 7 miles west of the dive shop.
The top of the pinnacle is 7 meters and drops to 40 plus meters. The
pinnacle is covered with hard coral, sponges and fans. The top of
the pinnacle has numerous anemone beds with anemone fish. Schools of
barracuda, reef sharks, trivially and Spanish mackerel frequent the
area. Visibility expected 25 plus meters. |
The
Zoo
The zoo, located about 3 miles east of the dive
shop. This site has a combination or coral bommies, reef wall, over
hangs and sand flats. Depth range is 8 to 40 plus meters. This site
tends to have plenty of current providing rich nutrients that bring
in larger fish. It is common to see numerous reef sharks, schools of
barracuda, Spanish mackerel, groupers, coral cod and coral trout.
Due to the current visibility is usually about 15 meters. |
Ethal Reef Wreck
Ethel reef wreck, located about 9 miles west of the
dive shop. It is an old steam ship that sunk in the early 1900's.
Depth range is 4-5 meters from the top of the steam engine to a
maximum depth of about 15 meters. The steam engine, condensers,
propeller shaft, propellers and anchors are all identifiable (the
hull has broken up). The remains of the wreck are well encrusted in
hard coral. There are several resident eel as well rays are commonly
spotted. Visibility can be expected to be in excess of 30 meters. |
Lucky
13
Lucky 13, this large sprawling reef is located about
5 miles north of the dive shop. Depth rages from 10 meters to about
35 meters. This long sloping reef has numerous canyons and reliefs
that make for a very interesting reef structure. There is an
abundance of hard corals and sponges and some soft coral. At this
site it is not uncommon to come across sea turtles, reef sharks,
eels as well there are plenty of anemones and anemone fish. The
visibility is generally 30 meters and greater. |
Rocky Bay
Rocky Bay: Located on the western shore of Tavewa
Island and is less than 10 minutes by boat from the dive shop. This
reef follows the edge of Tavewa Island and has a maximum depth of 20
meters. The reef's main feature is the hard corals and sponges.
There are a few canyons and swim throughs. It is common to see eagle
rays and there is a resident white tip reef shark. Expected
visibility ranges from 15 to 20 meters, this site is excellent for
beginners, yet offers plenty for experienced divers. |
Tavewa
Breakers
Tavewa Breakers: Located off the southern tip of
Tavewa Island and is less than 10 minutes by boat from the dive
shop. This reef extends off the southern point of Tavewa Island and
offers good surfing as well as diving. The maximum depth of this
site is about 25 meters and it features hard corals, sponges and
plenty of sea fans ranging in size from half a meter to three meters
across. It is common to see schools of trevally and Spanish
mackerel, barracudas make appearances as well, visibility at Tavewa
breakers ranges from 15 to 20 meters. This site is excellent for
beginners as well offers plenty for the experienced diver. |
Turtle Rock
Turtle Rock: This dive site is located on the
northwest edge of Matacawalevu Island and is less than 10 minutes
from the dive shop. The depth of this site ranges from 10 meters to
20 meters. The main feature of Turtle Rock is the reef topography,
it features reef walls that extend straight up to the surface. In
addition there are numerous canyons and swim throughs to explore. On
the sand flats along side the reef there are a great number of coral
bommies to swim about. The sand flats offer an excellent opportunity
to spot stingrays and sharks sleeping. Turtle Rock's name won't let
you down as it was named for the number of turtle sightings. This
sight is great for beginners though experienced divers and expected
visibilty is between 10 and 25 meters. |
Whiskeys
Reef
Whisky Reef: Whisky Reef is located 2 kilometers of
the western shore of Matacawalevu Island and is about a 15 minute
boat ride from the dive shop. The maximum depth at Whisky reef is 25
meters but the majority of the reef is between 15 and twenty meters.
This reef has a wall from 25 meters to 5 meters, which is adorned
with soft corals, sea fans and feather stars. There is a winding
canyon that provides a haven for many spotted sweet lips and
oriental sweet lips, in addition there are schools of fusiliers.
This site is recommended for more experienced divers. Divers can
expect visibilty to be between 15 and 30 meters at Whisky reef. |
Tavewa
Breakers
Located off the southern tip of Tavewa Island and is
less than 5 minutes by boat from the dive shop. This reef extends
off the
southern point of Tavewa Island and offers good surfing as well as
diving.
The maximum depth of this site is about 25 meters and it features
hard corals, sponges and plenty of sea fans ranging in size from
half a meter to three meters across. It is common to see schools of
trevally and Spanish mackerel; barracudas make appearances as well,
visibility at Tavewa breakers ranges from 15 to 20 meters. This site
is excellent for beginners as well offers plenty for the experienced

Simi's Maze
Simi's Maze is located 10 to 12 minutes boat ride
north bound.
The main features to this Dive Site are the Swim Throughs, Caves and
Canyons. Occasionally we do come across Eagle Rays, Sea Turtles,
Bull Rays, School of Bump head Parrot Fish and the Rare Hairy Ghost
Pipe fish This is a hard Coral Dive with different varieties. The
depth starts at 6m to 25m and average visibility is about 15m. This
site is good for Novice to Experienced Divers. |
The
Three A's
Three A’s is located a few miles east of Nacula
Island. This dive will be a relatively shallow dive, maximum depth
15 meters/50 feet. The reef shape and structure provides for a very
interesting dive, lots of canyons, gullies and caverns to explore.
Don’t be surprised if you scare up a turtle of reef shark. The
visibility is likely to be around 22 meters/ 70 feet or so. |
The Pinnacle
The Pinnacle is North of the Dive Shop and it takes
aproximatley 5min to get there.
This Pinnacle stands from 19m all the way to 5metres and is just
fested with yellow soft coral. The Fish life on this Dive is very
healthy, multi-coloured Fish and in abundance.
Pelagies that frequent this site are Schools of Trevallies, Spanish
Mackeral, White tip Reef Sharks, Leopard Sharks and Massive Marble
Rays etc.
Commonly seen are Octopus, puffer fish, Murray eels, schools of red
snappers and shoals of Fusiliers, Nudibrances, Flat worms, Spanish
dancers and pipe fish make the pinnacle their home.
Visibility is usually 10m to 20metres. Divers of any level, novice
or experiences will enjoy this site. |
