Malolo Lailai Island
is home to this resort, which is family owned and run by the oldest resort
company in Fiji. Recent renovations and additions have helped it gain the
Fiji Excellence in Tourism Award. Situated on 600 acres of lush gardens,
the bures and villas offer comfort and privacy. It overlooks a sheltered
lagoon, providing the ultimate environment to enjoy watersports. The
restaurant and bar offers the choice of dining indoor, poolside or
alfresco beneath the stars. The resort’s newest addition, Armstrong
Island Villas, are equipped with a kitchen, lounge, TV/video and a private
pool for the use of guests staying at the villas. Some have the only
overwater verandas in Fiji. The resort is easily accessed by a 10-minute
flight or by the high speed catamaran Malolo Cat.

Meet and greet
service is available on request at Nadi Airport by Musket Cove Staff. 10
minutes by air, regular scheduled flights with Pacific Sun or 45 minutes
on the Malolo Cat which operates a dedicated service three times daily
between Port Denarau and Malolo Lailai. Complimentary coach transfers
operate between Nadi airport/ hotels and Port Denarau for all Malolo Cat
sailing times.

and Bar rates equal with any comparable dining facility anywhere
in the South Pacific with a choice of outstanding dining options
Snacks are also available at the restaurant from after breakfast
through to late afternoon and early dinner. For children 12
years and under there is a special menu in the restaurant
between 5:30pm - 7:00pm. Children under 12 dining with parents
from the main menu , half price. The "Marina Coffee Cove" a
relaxing coffee shop (serving snacks, child's portions, lunch,
morning and afternoon teas) is located on the veranda of "The
Trader" General Store which is the place to visit to buy food or
necessities for your bure or villa.

ACTIVITIES
A range
of activities are available each day for your enjoyment. All
Musket Cove Resort guests are provided with complimentary
activities which include, windsurfing, scuba dive lesson in
the resort pool, snorkelling trips and the free use of
snorkels, masks and flippers for the duration of their stay.
You can also water-ski, sail a hobie cat or an outrigger
canoe, plus a boat trip to Shell Village on Malolo Island (a
charge of $2 per adult is levied by Solevu Village for
inspection / tours of "Shell" Village). Musket Cove has a
fleet of power boats which make access to nearby resorts
both easy and inexpensive. You can also go hiking to
secluded beaches with a picnic basket, or even charter a
yacht or a motor cruiser. It is all there waiting for you.
The
resort has Scuba diving for the more adventurous and
resident instructors for those who want to take advantage of
obtaining their certificate and dive on the renowned coral
reefs.

Musket Cove
Resort features island style accommodation of traditional thatched
bures and spacious villas set amongst tall coconut palms, in
beautiful landscaped gardens, by the lagoon or on the white sandy
beachfront. Each bure is designed with the tropical surroundings in

The air-conditioned hotel
rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. Beachfront, Lagoon and
Garden bures have breakfast bars for those who may wish to have a
casual breakfast or snack in their bure. All villas have a fully
equipped kitchen. All required provisions and ingredients are
available at Musket Cove Resort's on site General Store, the Trader,
an extensively stocked facility used by guests, residents and
visiting international yachts-people.
All accommodations have
overhead fans, a bar fridge, outdoor furniture, hair dryers, in room

ARMSTRONG ISLAND VILLAS: |

10 Villas each with two
identical bedrooms and en-suite bathroom. Villas are nestled around
the edge of the newly developed Armstrong Island. Beautifully
landscaped gardens surround a central swimming pool and barbecue
area, exclusively for the use of Armstrong Island guests.
Each of the bedrooms in the
villa, are air conditioned and equipped with a Californian King-size
bed, which unzips to make two single beds if required, so four
guests can be accommodated comfortably. Ideal for two couples, or a
couple with two adult children travelling together or 4 single
people.
Your villa features a lounge
area with CD Player, telephone, TV/VCR and a kitchen equipped with 2
gas burner stove & microwave to cater for that intimate dinner at
home, or a snack during the day. Your lounge leads onto a large
over-water balcony which is the ideal spot for that morning
breakfast or pre-dinner aperitif, while admiring the view.
The inland lagoon is home to
numerous varieties of fish life which can be viewed from the private
marina pontoon in front of each villa. Private boat access is

home away from home comfort. They contain 2 separate bedrooms each
with an en-suite bathroom. The upper bedroom contains a king-size

an overhead fan.
The large
open plan lounge and kitchen area opens onto an elevated lanai with
a private spa pool, hammock and BBQ, perfect for enjoying the garden
surroundings.

are 6 Lagoon Bures. Each bure is light and spacious with a king-size
bed, a single bed a sofa bed and large en-suite bathroom.
Each bure is spacious and

coffee making facilities.
Each Lagoon bure has a private
overwater balcony with outdoor furniture. A great place to spend the
afternoon and enjoy the sunset.

bed and a single bed. All rooms are fully Airconditioned and are just a
short walk to the resort beach. |

collection and courtesy transport times with reception.
MALOLO
CAT...
Three return
services daily are operated between Musket Cove Resort and
Port Denarau. Contact the reception for departure times and
bookings from the island, if you are travelling to the
island you may make your Malolo Cat booking at time of
reservation.

SITTING...
Off duty staff
provide this service at $3.50 per hour. Bookings should be
made at Reception the day before.

There are coin
operated washing machines and dryers (opp. The Trader) or
for resort guest laundry service please check at reception.
ELECTRICITY...
Diesel generated
electricity supplies 240 Volt AC power throughout the
Resort. 3 Pin Plug ( same as NZ & Australia).
MOBILE PHONES...
Vodaphone services
are available on the island but we ask that guests refrain
from using them in the dining room & bar area. If you do not
have global roaming, or a Fiji account, you'll need a
starter pack with chip and prepaid card which can be
purchased at the Nadi Airport, prior to your arrival on the
island.
MEDICAL...
First aid and minor
attention is available on the Island. Aircraft evacuation is
available in emergencies.
TIDES...
Daily tide times are
shown on the daily activity board at the Dock. The bay is
tidal and some watersports and boat trips can be effected by
the tides. You should consult the Marina Activity Programme
for operating times. There is deep water for swimming at all
tides off the end of Ratu Nemani Island.
RESTAURANT...
"Dick's Place"
Bistro is open daily from 7:30am to 9:30pm, serving
breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks in between. A'la
carte menus are complimented with daily specials, Curry of
the Day, Fijian Dishes and regular Theme Nights. A
children's Dinner Menu is available from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
Children, under 12 may dine off the main menu with adults,
at half price. Meal Plans are also available.
BAR...
Our Cocktail Bar
opens at 8:00am daily and provides Restaurant and Pool side
Terrace service until late at night.
RESTAURANT & BAR DRESS CODE...
Musket Cove has a
very easy going and casual atmosphere, typical of Island
life. However we do ask you to dress neatly around the
Restaurant and Bar at all times. Shorts, swimsuits, etc is
the normal wear everywhere around the Resort, however if you
wish to dine in the Restaurant for breakfast or lunch we
request you wear a shirt. From sundown we request you wear
neat casual attire, a sulu with shirt for men and a sulu or
pareo with bare feet for the ladies is the real island
dress, as an alternative to slacks and dresses.
ENTERTAINMENT...
Our Fijian Island
Band entertains nightly (except Sunday) at "Dick's Place"
Restaurant and Bar. Every Thursday is our "Pig on the Spit"
Island night, so get into the swing, wear your sulus and
colourful shirts or pareo.

This is a BYO coffee

between the toes beach bar serving local drinks and spirits.
The barbecue is available on a "do it yourself" basis unless
it is being used for a catered function by the Resort.
Barbecue packs are available as well as plates and cutlery
for your convenience.
MUSKET COVE TRADER...
"The Trader" General
Store is open between 8:00am and 7:00pm daily and offers
everything you require to prepare a full meal, a barbecue,
or just a snack. We also offer a range of fresh fruit and
vegetables from our gardens, a delicatessen and bakery.
BOUTIQUE...
Open between 8:30am
and 6:00pm daily, offering casual resort wear, souvenirs,
books, postcards, stamps, chemist and photographic lines,
etc.

POOLS...
Our swimming pools
are open 24 hours. Please note that there is no lifeguard on
duty.

Fijian people are
renowned for being friendly and hospitable and should you
visit a village, a home or church you should dress
conservatively. Before entering remove shoes. We ask that
you respect their customs and beliefs. Please do not offer
alcohol to staff or villagers.
SUPPLY OF SERVICES AND OBLIGATIONS
Musket Cove Resort
will endeavour to provide the most suitable accommodation
and guest services as requested by the guest or their
booking agent. However an off-shore island resort holiday is
an individual experience and a guests preference and
opinions may vary from those of the resorts owners,
management and booking agent. For this reason we cannot take
responsibility for every aspect of each guests overall
holiday satisfaction.
Musket Cove Resort
takes guest comments very seriously and guest feed-back is
always welcome. Resort management are available every day to
discuss with guests any specific requests, concerns or
complaints which a guest may have. Musket Cove Resort Ltd
cannot be reasonably expected to have knowledge about each
guests personal requirements, perceptions, impressions or
concerns unless such information is made known to management
at the time of the guests stay. The resort will not be held
responsible to respond to any complaint that was not made
directly to resort management at the time of the guests
stay. Any claims or legal action in connection with the
provision of our resorts services will be subject to the
laws of Fiji.
When guests make
bookings via the resort with the suppliers/organisers of
such services as fishing, diving, surfing, air and sea
transfers, yacht charters, water taxis, private homes and
such like, the resort is acting as a booking agent if and
when such services are not directly provided by the resort

the services provided by such suppliers, or liable for any
damage, injury, theft or loss of any kind (direct, indirect,
consequential or otherwise) which guests may suffer, from
selection of those suppliers, or the services provided by

directly or indirectly from any act of God, weather
disruptions, dangers incidental to the sea, fire, breakdown

The
Resort's restaurant "Dick's Place" rates equal with any comparable
dining facility anywhere in the South Pacific. The choice of dining
options is outstanding - an extensive a' la carte menu, daily
blackboard specials, and regular theme nights. All menus offer a mix
of international and indigenous cuisine - delights for the most
discerning palate. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a
tropical ambience by friendly, helpful waiting staff. Dick's Place
is fully licensed, it's extensive menu complemented by a choice of
fine wines from around the world, exotic cocktails, beers and soft
drinks. On some nights local themes headline the menu - "Pig on the
Spit ", "Indian Curry" and "Island Stir Fry ".
It's your choice whether you dine inside the restaurant or enjoy
alfresco style outdoor dining at tables on the terraces under the

THE TRADER |
This
extensively stocked facility is a major plus for both guests and
residents on Malolo Lailai Island.
"The Trader" offers a complete range of goods to
satisfy those who wish to cook a full gourmet meal
or merely prepare a snack.
Fresh fruit and vegetables are flown in daily, fresh bread, milk
and eggs are also available. There is a good selection of cheese,
yoghurt, meat, chicken and frozen foods - a range to suit all
tastes. The shelves are generously stocked with a large variety of
tinned products, and necessities. Chocolate, sweets, ice creams, ice
blocks and cold drinks to quench the thirst in the warm balmy
weather. Fresh bread, cakes cookies and speciatly items are baked
daily in our very own bakery.
The Trader is open daily from 8:00am till 7:00pm. |
Over looking
the lagoon on the verandah of The Trader is the Marina Coffee Cove,
a wonderfully relaxing venue for a modern cafe style meal, a snack,
an ice cream or merely to chat over a cup of coffee or tea, enjoy
the scenery.The cafe serves a large variety of coffees.
Cappuccino, Mochaccino, Latte, Espresso, Flat White, Cafe Vienna and
of course Black and iced coffee. Hot Chocolate and selected tea, hot
or iced, is another favourite . Soft drinks are also available, plus
freshly squeezed juices and milkshakes.
The menu encompasses a great choice of Soups, Sandwiches, Pasta,
salads, Pastries, special Entrees and Mains of the day, plus a
variety of mouth watering desserts.
The Marina Coffee Cove is a BYO facility and open daily from
10:00am till 6:00pm. |

RATU NEMANI
ISLAND BAR |
Linked to the
resort by the marina walkway Ratu Nemani Island Bar is a sand
between the toes beach bar with a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
Local spirits, beer and wines are at yacht club prices. There are
barbecues available on a 'do it yourself' basis. A variety of
pre-prepared barbecue packs can be bought from The Coffee Cove to
make life easy and relaxing.
Amble down to 'Ratu Nemani' late afternoon or
evening and enjoy the company of other resort
guests, 'locals' and international cruising yachties. |

BOTTLE SHOP |
| This is a facility for Musket Cove Resort Guests and Yacht Club
Members only and is not a regular Bottle Shop. So as to keep within
the licensing regulations, the purchase of closed bottles and
spirits can only be made at certain times. However you may order
through Dick's Place Bar at any time. Collection will be between
the following hours: 9:00am to 9:30am and 4:30pm to 5:00pm. Beer,
wine and spirits purchased through our Bottle Shop in the above
manner are not for consumption at Dick's Place Restaurant or Ratu
Nemani Island Bar. |
Musket Cove
Island Resort
has one of the safest and most sheltered bays in the Mamanucas for
indulging in the range of activities that are available each day for
your enjoyment. All Musket Cove Resort guests are provided with
complimentary activities which include, windsurfing, kayaks,
snorkelling trips and the free use of snorkels, masks and flippers
for the duration of their stay and a long boat trip to Solevu
Village on Malolo Island (a charge of $2 per adult is levied by the
villagers for inspection of "Shell Village").
Other activities available at reasonable rates include:

launch, day trips to nearby island resorts or to the

basket. Across the bay at Plantation you can indulge in paraflying,

adventurous the resort has a full PADI dive base with resident
instructors for those who wish to obtain dive certification. The
surrounding coral reefs and nearby divesites also have a lot to
offer the experienced diver.

COVE'S DIVE OPERATOR - SUBSURFACE FIJI |
The Dive
shop at Musket Cove Resort is operated by Subsurface Fiji who
are a professional dive company, a PADI 5 Star training facility
and a member of the Fiji Dive Operators Association. Subsurface
caters for all ages, novice divers, adventurous and experienced
divers. 4 modern dive boats, 2x 9 metres, one 8 metres and the
other 7 metres, all capable of speeds in excess of 30 knots
allows only Subsurface divers access to the best dive sites in
the area. 180 tanks, Seaquest, Aqualung & Sherwood rental
equipment, nine PADI
Dive courses range from PADI
Junior Open Water Diver (min age 10) through to PADI Assistant
Instructor as well as the Bubblemaker program for kids aged 8-12.
Also available is instruction in Nitrox (mixed Gas) diving. Whether
you just want to try diving for the first time or expand your diving
skills we can cater to everyones needs. We also offer a wide variety
of PADI specialty courses.
The dive
shop at Musket Cove also offers a full range of
equipment for sale at very competitive rates. |

The Bistro
offers candlelit indoor and outdoor dining, a sumptuous choice of
both Fijian and international cuisine, with excellent stocked wine
cellar to compliment your meal. Our bar offers exotic cocktails
while you watch the sun dip beneath the horizon and listen to our
island string band.
The
island offers privacy and romance with it’s many beaches and private

Fiji is fast
becoming a popular wedding and romantic destination. From the
simplest barefoot wedding to a traditional affair with all the
trimmings, our friendly wedding coordinator will be there to help
you plan every detail of your special day. All weddings performed in
Fiji are legally binding and marriage licences are easily arranged.
Whether you have a
wedding party of two or one hundred, we offer a choice of catering
arrangements and locations. There's silver table service under the
stars, on the terrace or in the garden beside the restaurant, Dick's
Place. You have the option of dining from an a'la carte menu, a set
menu or an island feast.
THE VENUE
Choice of location for the
wedding ceremony... Musket Cove has a a purpose built wedding
chapel, overlooking the resort, which can comfortable seat up to 80
people. Alternatively, for those wanting an outdoors wedding may
choose from resort locations as follows ... in the gardens, at
sunset on Ratu Nemani or Smith Island, at the marina, on the jetty,
on a yacht, or anywhere on or about the resort that appeals. For
outdoor ceremonies complimentary floral decoration of the ceremony
area is provided, for guests of Musket Cove Resort. A fee will apply
for the use of the chapel.

The Venue
Choice of places for wedding ceremony (Free of Charge**) In

in front of Boutique. Basic floral decoration of ceremony area
**Special Note: Non
Resort Guests - i.e Private Home, Timeshare guests wishing
to use our venue, a service fee of $260.00 applies for the
decoration and arrangements.
Minumum accommodation
requirements - For weddings where the bridal couple is staying
at Musket Cove we require a minimum of 75% of guests to stay at the
resort. If this is not possible, a service fee may be charged,
dependent on the group size.
Sunset Weddings:
The wedding couple may have to pay for accommodation and meal cost
for Celebrant/Minister & Photographer. Please enquire with our
coordinator. |
