| This
small, intimate resort is set on a beautiful little island just across
from Mana Island. It is nestled among palms and plants at the foot of a
volcanic hill surrounded by wide pristine beaches The resort features 20
two-room beachfront bures and 13 air-conditioned hotel rooms. Most guests
arrive by launch after a leisurely one-hour ride aboard the Tiger IV to
Mana, where they are transferred by water taxi to the resort. Matamanoa
was created expressly for those who yearn for peace and tranquility. It is
primarily known as a couples resort. In an effort to achieve this special
atmosphere, Matamanoa Island Resort has adopted a year round policy of not
permitting children under the age of 12 years. Complimentary activities
and equipment include sailing boats, paddle boards, row boats,
windsurfing, coral viewing on a glass bottom boat, hand line fishing,
snorkeling (with masks/snorkel/fins included), tennis (day & night),
table tennis, volleyball, mountain hikes and afternoon tea. Dining at the
resort's restaurant features á la carte and tasteful daily menu specials.
Swim in the fresh water pool or in the Pacific Ocean, play tennis or sip a
cocktail at the bar while watching a sunset. The combination of Fijian
ambiance and friendly staff makes this small hideaway a vacation treasure.

Beachfront Bures
Twenty spacious 54 sq metre air-conditioned bures with king size bed and
sofa bed, granite top bar with refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities,
coffee plunger, clock/radio, coffee table, chair, personal safe plus patio
with hammock and outdoor table and two chairs.
The
Bures are of traditional Fijian design with high ceilings lined with hand
painted tapa, they have been designed to catch the breeze and feature
louvered windows throughout, overhead fans and sliding glass doors opening
on to the patio which overlooks the ocean.
Ensuite bathroom with twin vanities, granite bench, state of the art
fittings, Italian tiles, hair drier, bathrobes & amenities.
Bures will accommodate maximum 2 adults and 2 children 12 years to 15 years,
or 4 adults, the extra bed will be a roll away.
Daily service & nightly turn down.
Garden View Hotel Rooms

Thirteen Garden View, air-conditioned Hotel Rooms, ground level all in a
row, set amongst tropical gardens. One room, queen size bed, bar unit with
refrigerator & sink, tea/coffee making facilities, coffee plunger,
clock/radio, table and two chairs, small patio with table and two chairs.
Ensuite bathroom, single vanity and marbleised bench, European fittings and
Italian tiles – hair dryer, bathrobe & amenities.
Hotel Rooms will accommodate a couple only, not suitable for twin share as
only one queen size bed
Our Restaurant features an ocean view from every table, dine
inside or on the verandah overlooking the ocean or poolside under the stars.
Meal Plan
Vegetarians/Vegans, whilst we make all efforts to provide
vegetarian meals, please note that the choice is very limited as we are
located 30 kilometres off shore from Nadi Airport. Please review our online
menus to decide whether or not we can cater to your special dietary needs,
please note that we can only provide the meals and ingredients that are
listed on our menus on this website.

Matamanoa's Executive Chef takes pride in presenting his
international menus plus selections of traditional Fijian fare - choose from
the Table d'hote or
A la Carté menus, both
menus are changed nightly. BBQ seafood buffet on Saturday nights.
Our string band serenades each table nightly during dinner,
singing your choice of song, or Fijian songs. After dinner, lots of fun with
something different every night, Mr. Matamanoa contest, crab racing, broom
dancing, kava ceremony are just some of the few.

Viti Watersports - Matamanoa is a registered PADI 5 star dive centre
with top of the range equipment and experienced instructors on hand to
offer you a gentle introduction to scuba diving or develop your existing
skills.
PADI Discover Scuba Diving
An introductory dive experience course, including basic theory, pool
session and a shallow dive (12m) along our stunning house reef. An
opportunity to try scuba diving, in a spectacular tropical setting with
an Instructor at your side.

PADI Open Water Diver
The PADI Open Water Diver course will certify you as a PADI diver,
enabling you to dive anywhere in the world. The course includes pool
training sessions, academic modules and 4 open water dives on some of
the most beautiful coral reefs in the World.
There truly isn't any better place to learn! (3 days)
PADI Advanced Open Water
This course is designed to improve dive skills to make divers feel more
comfortable and knowledgeable in the water. The programme consists of 5
open water training dives. (3 days)
Viti Watersports - Matamanoa also offers the
PADI Rescue and PADI Divemaster courses and a
range of PADI speciality courses including underwater photography,
underwater Naturalist, AWARE Fish Identification amongst others. Please

Dive sites
With over 40 different sites to choose from around the Mamanuca
group ranging from shallow reefs, pinnacles, walls and drop-offs,
shark encounters and wrecks – the options are endless!
Our sites range from 9 - 30 metres depth, although most dives are
around 18 metres with shallower depths for repetitive dives.
Visibility is generally between 20 and 40 metres and water
temperature ranges from 26 Celsius in winter (July/August) to 31
Celsius in summer (Jan/Feb).
Viti Watersports – Matamanoa has a good range of modern rental
equipment. We insist that all divers use safe, fully serviced
equipment.
Fiji is fast becoming the diving capital of the Pacific and the
advantage of diving with Viti Watersports is our proximity to some
world class sites. Some of our particular favourites include:
Supermarket – World famous ‘Shark Encounter’ dive.
This site has been featured in most leading dive magazines.
Gotham City – Batman doesn’t visit, but bat fish do
guard this site which is a soft coral delight featuring all the
colours of the rainbow.
Sherwood Forest – Four pinnacles rising out of the
deep, the profusion of massive green sea fans gives this site it’s
name.
Bird Rock Wall – Only a 2 minute boat ride from the
dive centre, this stunningly encrusted wall offers up a kaleidoscope
of colours and reef dwellers of every shape and size.
Outpost, Aquarium, Sunset & Lover’s Bay –
Matamanoa’s infamous house reef, a marine protected area, boasts
spectacular hard corals and a myriad of colourful marine critters.
Ideal for photographers, beginners and night diving.
All dives are guided by fully trained PADI Divemasters and
Instructors.
Island Hopping
Visit some of the other islands in the
Mamanuca group.

Shell Market & Pottery Island
Trip
Travel to the local village of Tavua where you can witness pottery being
made as they did over 100 years ago, shop at the shell market for
artifacts and shells.
Monday & Thursday, FJ$38 per person.
Big Game Fishing
SeaFiji Fishing, includes exclusive use of vessel, experienced captain
and crew, complimentary light lunch, soft drinks, fishing equipment and
snorkeling gear.

Yacht Cruise
Sailing on the Seaspray, visit the island of Modriki, location of the
Tom Hanks movie "Castaway", includes unlimited beverage, both alcoholic
and soft, BBQ lunch, afternoon tea and snorkeling equipment.
Daily 11am - 3.45pm. FJ$135 per person all inclusive including

Village Church
Attend church service at our local village Tavua and hear the choir of
the people.
