Fiji's climate is
tropical. Temperatures vary slightly between the summer and winter
months with summer beginning early December and lasting through to
March. The weather is quite hot and humid during the summer months with
temperatures around 32°C. This time is usually referred to as the 'wet
season', however it should be noted that Malolo Island is located to the
west of the larger Fiji Islands and on average receives less rainfall
and can be drier than the eastern parts of the Fiji Islands at this
time.
By the end of April, Fiji experiences a more moderate climate with
temperatures sitting around 27°C by day and pleasantly cooler during the
night at around 19°C. "Hint - 32°C = 90°F"
Located amongst the archipelago known as the Mamanuca Islands, Malolo
Island Resort is just 25 kilometres (16 miles) west of Fiji's Nadi
International Airport. Malolo Island is over 2000 acres with the resort
comprising of just 9 acres of the total area. |

How To Get To Us
There are 3 easy ways to get to Malolo Island Resort from within Fiji:
South Sea Cruises - Tiger IV/Cougar Catamaran Transfers
Departing Denarau Marina three times daily at 9.00am & 12.00pm (2 hrs
via other islands) and 3.00pm (55 min direct to Malolo).
SeaFiji - Speedboat Transfers
Departing on demand at a time suitable to you, SeaFiji offer a
professional speedboat transfer service with one way or return transfers
from Denarau Marina for between 1 & 8 people.
Pacific Island Seaplanes
If you prefer to fly, Seaplanes can have you at the resort in 10
minutes, departing on demand from Nadi Airport, Nadi Bay and Denarau
island. |

Accommodation Overview
Plantation style duplex accommodation reminiscent of the colonial era
with high vaulted ceilings, provide a feeling of spaciousness and rustic
elegance. Our bures are fully air-conditioned and set amongst lush
tropical gardens, and some are only a few lazy steps from the beach and
waters edge. With a total of 49 bures, Malolo offers three different
categories including Ocean View Bures, Deluxe Ocean View Bures and a
Family Bure. All Oceanview and Deluxe Oceanview Bures have a king bed
and two single beds, ideal for a family of four or a couple.
Ocean View Bure
With 30 Oceanview Bures each is 33 sq metres (355 sq feet) with 14 sq
metre verandahs and have 1 x King size bed and two single beds suitable
for up to 4 people (2 adults & 2 children). All have air-conditioning,
fridge, plunger coffee and tea making facilities, bathrooms, overhead
fans and verandahs. |

 Deluxe
Ocean View BureWith 18 Deluxe Oceanview Bures each is 50 sq
metres (538 sq feet) with 14 sq metre verandahs and have 1 x King size
bed in a separate bedroom and two single beds in the spacious living
area suitable for up to 4 people (2 adults & 2 children). All have
air-conditioning, fridge, plunger coffee and tea making facilities,
bathrooms, overhead fans and verandahs. |

 Family
BureWith only one Family Bure it is 100sq metres (1076 sq feet)
with a 20sq metre verandah. It comprises of 2 bedrooms, each with a King
sized bed, one ensuite and one main bathroom. There are 3 single beds
located in the spacious living area and with an elevated location this
bure has a fantastic view of the ocean. All have air-conditioning,
fridge, plunger coffee and tea making facilities, bathrooms, overhead
fans and verandahs. |

fill your day with activities or simply unwind and do nothing at all.
There are an array of activities and experiences on offer to keep even
the most active of guests occupied. For the romantics at heart, we have
some very special options perfect for those cherished moments such as, a
romantic beachside dinner or perhaps just hanging about in one of the
many double hammocks and soaking up the sensational views across the
Pacific Ocean. For the families, there is a free kids club for 4-12
year olds and plenty of water sports fun for everyone including hobie
cats, kayaking, banana boat rides, windsurfing, coral viewing, dolphin
spotting and more. |

Activities at Malolo
Malolo offers a wide range of options for those seeking a more active
holiday and all guests have access to a number of free activities within
the resort. These include: snorkelling, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing,
walking trails, and beach volleyball. Kids are not forgotten with a
free kids club (4-12yrs) with plenty of fun and games to keep them busy
and entertained.
Other activities include fishing, diving, parasailing, waterskiing,
Island Hopping Tours, Dolphin Spotting Tours and Fijian Village Trips. |

Nestled amidst a tranquil rainforest setting and lush tropical gardens,
Leilani's Spa will nurture your spirit and restore your balance. With 3
open air treatment bures including one especially for couples, Leilani's
Spa offers a unique relaxation experience. Our qualified therapists
choose to use the renowned Pure Fiji products combining exotic nut and
floral extracts blended with fresh coconut milk and virgin coconut oil.

Talei Lounge
For those quieter child-free moments, guests can visit the Talei lounge
which is available for our adult guests only. The air conditioned lounge
offers books and magazines, a DVD/video player and library. Here you can
curl up with a good book, watch a movie or play one of the many board

Kids Club
What's a holiday without some time away from the adults? Malolo takes
care of that with a brilliant Kid's Club - Tia's Treehouse. Tia's
Treehouse is set back into the hillside under a giant mango tree. It is
filled with lots of equipment and games, a fully fenced playground and
the happy and smiling faces of our friendly Fijian staff. In addition,
there is a daily changing program of fabulous activities which can
include fish feeding, basket weaving, coral viewing, Fijian lessons and
coconut husking, just to name a few.
Please Note: Supervised kids club is complimentary
strictly for children between the ages of 4 to 12. Tia's Treehouse is
not equipped to cater for children under 4 years and a private baby
sitting service can be arranged at the Resort for F$5 per hour. |
