Our first guests arrived 3,500 years ago and liked the place so

to local legend, the first Fijians arrived around 1500 BC, landing on
the beach at First Landing Resort. Today, you can discover our unique
Pacific Paradise where a warm Fijian welcome awaits you.
The resort is nestled amidst magnificent tropical gardens, majestic
palms and massive rain trees,
 just 15 minutes
by road from Nadi Airport - and blessed with the only white sand beach
in the Nadi area. The beach faces due west, giving breathtaking sunsets
across the nearby islands.
We are a small, owner-operated resort featuring a popular beachside
restaurant (we were a restaurant before we built the resort). We pride
ourselves on personal attention to our guests, and the genuine
hospitality of our staff will ensure your stay is a memorable one.

(Fijian for cottage), 1 magnificent villa and our 3 new Garden Villas
you'll never feel crowded ...
 First Landing Resort has an all-timber 'plantation style' cottage theme.
We took a local design used in outer island and rainforest villages, and
modified it to enhance our unexpected paradise.
All bures (cottages) are superbly appointed with high ceilings, polished
hardwood floors, designer furnishings and a private, screened verandah.
Our 18 brand-new Beachfront Spa Bures command spectacular and expansive
views across the ocean and nearby islands. They have a private spa bath in
the bathroom with a 'secret window' for ocean views. All bures have a
westerly aspect for fantastic tropical sunsets.
The garden bures are set in lush tropical gardens near the beach.
The deluxe garden bures also have a lounge with small kitchen off the
main bedroom. |

relax in luxury and privacy while staying in paradise. Nalamu is the
name of the beach where legend recalls the first Fijians arrived after
their canoe hit the nearby reef.
 The word Nalamu
means 'pierced'.
Villa Nalamu features the following:
7 metre swim/spa private pool in front of the veranda and BBQ bure
Full kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer unit
Spacious air conditioned lounge area with sea view, DVD TV and Stereo
surround sound system, high pitched roof with exposed tropical timbers,
massive sofa and lounge chairs, dining table setting for 6, coconut wood
bar counter and large windows opening on to secluded pool and tropical
garden area.
Upstairs air conditioned master bedroom with king size bed, hardwood
floors, ensuite and private spa bath and sea views.
Downstairs air conditioned bedroom with ensuite and private outdoor

The downstairs is wheel chair accessible inclusive of the bedroom and

Our large fresh water swimming pool is set in a lush tropical garden
with banana and pawpaw trees growing around the edges, a waterfall and
interesting tile mosaics. Our poolside bar will help keep you cool as
well. Also at pool side is our aromatherapy massage and beauty bure.

 Our activities
bure is the place to go to find out what is planned for the day ...
perhaps a Fijian cooking class, or a walk through the gardens to learn
how the Fijians use the local plants, or learn how to weave coconut
leaves into all kinds of practical things, or learn the strategies for
the evening's crab race plus many more interesting activities. We have a
kids club as well.

Pacific Dance show features dances from around the Pacific ending with
heart stopping Samoan Fire Dance!
Adjacent to First Landing Resort is Vuda Point Yacht Marina where there
are many local and overseas yachts. In addition, there is a general
store and yacht club at the Marina.

Your stay can be as relaxing or as
busy as you like with a host of activities that we can arrange for you.
There are many half and full day trips, all close to First Landing.
Located in our Boutique is the Rosie Tour Desk. Rosies is the largest
tour operator in Fiji with a wide range of interesting places to go
including car rental services. Also enquire at our activities bure for
the resort based operators.
On Water ...
Half and full day cruises to near by islands for snorkeling, dolphin
watching and much more are available. Bounty Island is a 20 minute boat
ride from First Landing and is a marine sanuctary. Also near by Treasure
island has baby turtles and iguanas. Transfers to nearby islands can
also be organized.
 Scuba
diving to beautiful coral reefs and nearby wrecks - First Landing is
proud to be associated with one of Fiji's largest and most established
PADI dive operations - Subsurface. They provide a full range of diving
options and certification.
Fishing - There are a number of fishing charters available on request.

metre Naiad RHIB with twin 130HP outboard engines, the latest in safety
and navigation and an experienced captain and crew.
Dive sites include soft and hard coral reefs, wreck and cave dives, drop
offs, walls and swim throughs. Non-divers can relax on the sundeck and
absorb the beauty of the tranquil tropical Fijian islands, or join in the
underwater fun with snorkelling.
We have diving to suit all levels of experience or maybe this is the
perfect time if you have always wanted to learn to dive or continue your
diver education with the world's most widely recognized diver training
agency.
We offer introductory and starter courses, advanced courses and specialty

Dining in Paradise ...
First Landing has one of the South Pacific's memorable restaurants. We
combine the essential ingredients of great food, the friendliest staff
and a fantastic ambience, with a unique beachfront setting. Timber decks
and coral platforms are set amidst swaying palms, overlooking the ocean
and gardens.
Our award-winning chefs will bring an array of culinary delights to your
First Landing dining experience. They aim to create local and
international dishes to suit any palate. The extensive menu features
fresh lobster and seafood as well as great steaks and exotic local
dishes, using an array of fresh, local produce. Our pizzas and fresh
salads round out the menu. And try to leave room for our great desserts.
Dining in Paradise ... Just a Few Samples ...
Our menus have a wide range of local and international dishes with a
strong focus on seafood. A sumptuous Buffet Breakfast is included in the
daily tariff. Prices for lunch range from F$10 to F$23 for most courses,
F$8 to F$18 for Dinner starters and F$25 to F$38.00 for Dinner main
course. Fresh Lobster dishes are from F$65.00. Our great pizzas are
around $F16. Desserts are $F9.50.
We have a fine selection of Australian and New Zealand wines ranging in
price from F$29.00 to F$65.00 per bottle. Our great setting makes our
'Cocktails in Paradise' just that much better which range from $F10.00
to $F14.00. And don't forget to try our local brew - Fiji Bitter Beer.
After a busy day exploring rainforests and islands or just relaxing
around the pool, you can look forward to a culinary delight under the
palm trees with our local musicians playing relaxing island music.

 Most of our
staff are from neighbouring villages and are delighted to arrange a
visit and tour for you; the Fijian people take great pride in telling
you about their local customs and traditions.
Our Indian staff are unique in their own way as well. They are just as
friendly, but in a more quiet and unassuming way. Having two distinctly
different cultures in Fiji make for a very interesting stay.
