Enjoy your own
secluded cove only 4kms from Nadi Town. |
John and Elly Bullock realised a
personal dream when in the early ' 90s they opened Club Fiji,
a charming and intimate resort on the beach in Nadi Bay.
For John, an ex-airline pilot and Elly, whose background is in
restaurants, this was the chance to build, from the ground up,
something unique in Fiji tourism. A product with a distinctly Fijian
flavour yet offering good food and quality accommodation at an
affordable price. |
|

|
|
Situated eight
kilometers from Nadi International Airport on the main island, and
just four kilometers from busy and bustling Nadi Town, you could be
forgiven for thinking you were right in the middle of a typical
Fijian koro or village.
Surrounded by sugar cane farms and small winding dirt tracks, the
resort's lush tropical gardens provide an almost rustic setting.
Coconut palms abound, as do colourful native plants like
bougainvillea, allamanda, and heliconia.
But it is in the evening when you feel the special ambience of this
pretty and peaceful resort. A canopy of stars above, kerosene flares
faintly illuminating the palms, and the quiet, relaxed solitude of a
tropical island night.

Small
and Intimate
All of the 24 bures on the
resort are elevated and constructed from pine poles and local
timbers. Roofs are thatched in the traditional manner and floors are
of polished hardwood, adding further to the rustic feel of Club
Fiji.
Each bure has its own ensuite bathroom, a refrigerator, ceiling fans
and plenty of timber-louvred windows, which provide additional
natural cooling and ventilation. In addition, your own private
verandah has lovely views of the resort, ocean and Nadi Bay.
A
Recent Addition
Club Fiji also has their
"Summerhouse", a two-storey structure combining the best of
Mediterranean and Fijian architecture. Within this complex are eight
large (42 sq metre) deluxe beachfront villas, each with its own airy
verandah. Italian floor tiles, Fijian timber fittings and timber-louvred
windows combine to create a look that is both stylish and
functional. Ensuite bathrooms have double vanity units fashioned
from Fijian hardwood and both bath and shower. All villas are air
conditioned.
Views from these new units are spectacular and take in Nadi Bay and
the nearby mountains of 'The Sleeping Giants'. |

Beach Front
and Ocean View Bures
Bures (cottages) are 32 sq
metres in size, this includes private verandah, en-suite bathroom
and shower. Features include high ceilings, timber floors and timber
louvred windows. Each bure has fridge, fans, coffee and tea-making
facilities, queen-size bed and divan. Club Fiji now has air
conditioning in some Beach Front and Ocean View Bures (a small
surcharge applies).
Beach Front
Villas (Air Conditioned)
Fijian and Mediterranean
architecture have been tastefully combined to produce a cool and
peaceful habitat. Damanu (Fiji mahogany) and timber louvers
blend nicely with Italian floor tiles and imported fixtures.
Flow-through design works effectively using the trade breezes to
create maximum comfort and a healthy environment in all seasons.
(Villas are air conditioned and also have ceiling and pedestal
fans).

Self
Contained Apartment (Air Conditioned)
Club Fiji Resort is happy
to announce that its new fully air-conditioned furnished apartment
is finished and ready for rent.
The one bedroom apartment has an adjoining lounge and a
fully-equipped kitchen. A Queensize bed with mosquito net add to the
comfort and ambience.
The Kitchen is equipped with Microwave, Medium size fridge, Electric
frying pan, toaster etc.
En Suite Bathroom with shower
The lounge area has television and a surround DVD audio system. A
sofa lounge rolls out as a double bed which is ideal for visitors.
In addition, the apartment has a private verandah with sea views.
The verandah has a new barbecue and outdoor furniture.

The apartment is Air conditioned and also serviced, which means you
have your own house girl to clean and launder towels and bed linen.
Towels, and linen are provided.

Guests renting the apartment have access to all resort facilities
that includes two bars, two restaurants (New Pizza Restaurant and
Bar just opened), swimming pool, laundry, Internet, watersports, etc

Na Bure Levu |
The
central focus of Club Fiji is the main building or Na Bure
Levu (Grand House) as it translates in the Fijian language.
This imposing edifice features a striking 30 foot vaulted ceiling,
typical of Fijian structures of old. Great exposed pine poles
support the roof and polished hardwood floors complement the Fijian
feel.
Na Bure Levu houses the Duidui
Restaurant and Bar, which overlooks the warm Pacific Ocean. Large
covered verandahs, ideal for wining and dining in the tropics,
surround the building.
Here are some of our main features:
